Security Guard Services in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

Northern Security Expertise

Yellowknife's economy runs on mining, government and northern industry, and Xtreme Security protects all three with uniformed guards, mobile patrols and remote site security. Our northern-capable teams are built for the realities of the Northwest Territories: extreme weather, remote locations and operations that run around the clock. With 24/7 dispatch and live reporting, we give Yellowknife clients security they can rely on in the toughest conditions.

Mining is the heart of Yellowknife's economy, with diamond mines and exploration operations supported by offices, equipment yards and supply facilities in and around the city. We protect mining support facilities, warehouses and compounds with gate access control, contractor verification, yard patrols and overnight monitoring. Our guards understand the safety-first culture of the mining industry and document every check to a professional standard.

Remote site security is our specialty for the North. Fly-in work camps, exploration sites and isolated industrial facilities need guards who are self-reliant, disciplined and able to operate far from the city. We provide on-site officers for remote locations, with structured sign-in procedures, perimeter patrols, access control and incident reporting delivered back to our control centre.

Government and institutional buildings in Yellowknife need officers who understand protocol. We provide guards for government facilities with access control, visitor screening, ID verification and perimeter monitoring, handling sensitive environments with discretion and coordinating with facility managers on procedures.

Commercial properties in Yellowknife, from retail stores and shopping areas to offices and hotels, rely on our uniformed guards, loss prevention officers and overnight patrols. We deter theft, handle trespassers, respond to incidents and sweep properties through the night with live photo and GPS-verified reporting.

As a privately-owned Canadian company with coverage coast to coast and into the United States, Xtreme Security brings national-scale resources to every Yellowknife assignment. Call 1-800-730-3712 or request a quote online for a free risk assessment of your Yellowknife property.

Yellowknife's schools, healthcare facilities and community properties round out our coverage. We provide guards for medical buildings, schools and community centres with access control, visitor screening and after-hours patrols, delivered by officers equipped for northern conditions. These environments need officers who are calm around patients, students and the public while staying firm when incidents arise. Combined with our mining, remote site, government and commercial coverage, Xtreme Security offers Yellowknife a single security partner for nearly any property type: one contract, one point of contact and consistent reporting across every site. Regular site audits keep quality high on every Yellowknife assignment, even in the toughest winter conditions.
